Calling All Young Artists: Unleash Your Creativity in the July 4th Coloring Contest
As we approach Independence Day, the Leader-Herald invites all budding artists between the ages of 3 and 18 to showcase their patriotic spirit through a captivating coloring contest. This fun-filled competition offers a platform for children to express their creativity and celebrate the essence of the United States.
Eligibility:
The contest is open to children residing within the circulation area of the Leader-Herald newspaper. Three age groups have been established to ensure fair competition:
- Group 1: Ages 3-5
- Group 2: Ages 6-10
- Group 3: Ages 11-18
Submission Guidelines:
Participants can download the printable coloring page from the Leader-Herald website or pick up a copy from the newspaper office. Completed entries must be submitted by mail or dropped off at the designated collection point by 5 pm on June 24th, 2023.

Judging Criteria:

- First Place: A $50 gift certificate to a local art supply store
- Second Place: A $25 gift certificate to a local bookstore
- Third Place: A $15 gift certificate to a local toy store
