Daily Gazette's July 4th Kids' Coloring Contest: A Showcase of Young Artistic Talent
In celebration of the Fourth of July, The Daily Gazette hosted the Kids' Coloring Contest, an annual tradition that encourages young artists from across the Capital Region to showcase their creativity and patriotism. This year's contest featured a captivating illustration of Uncle Sam, the iconic personification of the United States, adorned with a festive Uncle Sam hat and surrounded by fireworks.
Over a hundred aspiring artists, ranging from toddlers to preteens, submitted their vibrant and imaginative entries. The Gazette received an array of submissions, demonstrating the children's diverse artistic styles and enthusiasm for the holiday. Each entry was meticulously evaluated by a panel of judges who considered factors such as creativity, originality, and technical skill.
With great excitement, we are pleased to announce the winners of the 2023 Daily Gazette July 4th Kids' Coloring Contest. The top three entries, representing exceptional artistry and patriotic spirit, are as follows:
First Place:
The judges were captivated by the vibrant and imaginative entry submitted by 6-year-old Ethan from Latham. Ethan's coloring technique showcased a remarkable attention to detail and a keen eye for color. His Uncle Sam illustration was a masterpiece of patriotic pride, with vibrant hues of red, white, and blue that brought the iconic figure to life.
