July 4th Kids' Coloring Contest Winners Announced
The Leader-Herald's annual July 4th Kids' Coloring Contest received an overwhelming response from young artists showcasing their creativity. The contest was open to children of all ages, and the winners were selected based on their artistic skill, imagination, and originality.
Grand Prize Winner
The Grand Prize went to 10-year-old Lily Smith of Scotia for her exceptional rendition of the American flag. Lily's meticulous attention to detail and vibrant use of colors brought the cherished symbol of freedom to life.
First Place Winners
In the 6-8 year-old category, first place was awarded to 7-year-old Emily Jones of Glenville. Emily's whimsical depiction of a patriotic gnome captured the festive spirit of the holiday.
In the 9-11 year-old category, first place was bestowed upon 9-year-old Ethan Davis of Niskayuna. Ethan's intricate drawing of an eagle soaring above the American flag showcased his artistic prowess and reverence for the nation's history.

Second place in the 6-8 year-old category went to 6-year-old Sophia Rodriguez of Rotterdam. Sophia's charming drawing of Uncle Sam exuded patriotism and a touch of whimsy.
