Iowa Beef Advisory Council Invites Young Minds to Showcase Their Creativity
With summer in full swing, the Iowa Beef Advisory Council (IBAC) is extending an exciting invitation to all young artists. The council is hosting a captivating coloring contest designed to foster creativity and a love for art among Iowa's youth. This fun-filled activity not only allows youngsters to express their artistic flair but also educates them about the importance of the beef industry.
Eligibility Criteria
The coloring contest is open to all children residing in Iowa, ages 4 to 9 years old. Participants can choose from three age categories: 4-5 years, 6-7 years, and 8-9 years.
Contest Details
Aspiring artists can download the official coloring pages from the IBAC website or pick them up at participating county extension offices or Iowa State Fair locations. The coloring pages feature whimsical illustrations that depict various aspects of the beef industry, from pastures to processing plants.
Registration and Submission
Young artists must register for the contest by August 15, 2024. To participate, parents or guardians can complete the online registration form on the IBAC website or mail the completed registration form, along with the original colored page, to the IBAC office.
Judging and Prizes
A distinguished panel of judges will evaluate the submissions based on creativity, coloring skills, and overall presentation. Winners will be announced in early September 2024.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three artists in each age category. First-place winners will receive a $250 gift card, second-place winners will receive a $150 gift card, and third-place winners will receive a $100 gift card. All winners will also receive a commemorative coloring book featuring their winning artwork.
